One of the UK’s leading passive fire safety consultants, the Ventro Group provides fire doors, fire dampers and other fire prevention products to all kinds of organisations. Founded in 2013, Ventro has expanded quickly and is well on the way to becoming the go-to fire safety specialist for any business that needs fire protection services (which is basically every business that exists). With a 3-step safety approach — Healthcheck, Installation and Maintenance — Ventro ensures that their clients are 100% safe and fully compliant with all the legal requirements.
Flow’s brief for Ventro was to transform the downstairs of their new offices, which were dated and not being used, into a stylish and classy open-plan office area initially for 24 staff, but with the option of expanding to 30. Furthermore, Flow were charged with creating a formal boardroom for up to 20 people, as well as two additional informal meeting areas. The first step, as always, was to sit down with the client and find out exactly what they wanted, then to use that information to design their perfect layout. Once we had provided detailed plans in both 2D and 3D, the client’s contractors were able to get to work.
In order to create the desired open space, the existing offices needed to be completely removed, leaving one supporting pillar in the centre of the room. Once the space was created, however, the main challenge was to transform it into a comfortable, attractive and salutary working environment. To do this, Flow suggested subtle blue and grey two-tone furnishings and décor, which we supplied and installed throughout the space. We also created a stunning full height glazed meeting room, finished off with striking contemporary flooring design. The overall result is a modern, elegant, warm and usable space that fully complements the Ventro brand. Also, importantly, it was all completed on time and within budget.
Ventro’s new departmentalised open plan office now accommodates an informal four-person sofa booth, a project table for informal project meetings and a large boardroom table that can seat up to 20 people and has integrated power/data/hdmi and smart charge capabilities, as per the client’s requirements. There is also plenty of room for hot desking. All in all, Ventro now has a stunning workplace for its staff and clients which not only meets all their current requirements, but also allows for future expansion.
the next venture
Phase Two is set to begin next year and will see Ventro expanding upstairs and ultimately doubling their existing work space. We can’t wait to help them realise their vision.
