Location: Birmingham, B3

The Client

Lightbox is a dynamic digital agency based in Birmingham. They enable their clients to achieve their business objectives through a host of innovative web design and digital marketing services. They pride themselves on making digital human.

The Project

Lightbox was relocating to St. Paul’s Square in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter to accommodate their growing team and position their HQ in a prime location. Flow was tasked with creating a new space that would accommodate 20 office staff, a meeting room, an informal meeting space, project tables, soft seating and a games area. As the project involved comprehensive building and fit-out work, we also engaged the services of our trusted partner Approved Shopfitting and Interiors. We collaborate with Approved on a number of high-profile projects to ensure the process is flawless and completed to the exacting standards that are demanded by our clients.

The Challenges

Lightbox required a new space to not only cater for their recent growth in people but to enhance the company’s image, to improve their position in the market and reflect their values as a company fully invested in their people and clients. Flow Office was chosen due to our extensive knowledge of how branding fits in with office design, and our understanding of Lightbox’s business needs and the importance of their office space fitting their persona and how they operate.

During the project, we provided Lightbox with a range of services including ideas, design consultancy, office furniture installation, bespoke purchases and fabrics. We also introduced Lightbox to a number of reputable trusted suppliers to manage building work, partition walls, kitchen fit-out services, plumbing and decoration. When we found out Lightbox was let down by a supplier not recommended by us, we stepped in immediately to resolve the issue, ensuring that deadlines were not compromised.

The project began in November 2018 when decisions were made about furniture and interior design. It was completed in January 2019 once bespoke made-to-order furniture had been completed and was ready for installation.

The Benefits

We did everything in our power to ensure the process was as smooth as it possibly could be, minimising disruption and keeping the team at Lightbox in the loop on all key stages throughout the project. Lightbox now has an impressive new office space that is totally fit for their purpose and reflects their professionalism and high standards.

Lightbox described the experience as “seamless” and “stress-free” despite expecting the exact opposite. They said they “couldn’t recommend Flow enough” to “everyone and anyone”.

We were delighted to be chosen by Lightbox for this prestigious project and they were a great client to work with.
